Whipped Ice Coffee
The WHIPPED ICE COFFEE every one is raving about online!
I thought I’d finally give it a whirl because if you know me, I’m a coffee ADDICT. It’s so bad I love HOT coffee on HOT summer days but I do enjoy the occasional iced coffee as well. So here is the new new and my new favorite pick me up!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp instant coffee (I like Folgers brand)
2 tbsp hot water
2 tsp stevia or sugar (stevia works just fine and makes this coffee a low cal option)
8 fl oz unsweetened almond milk or preferred milk (unsweetened almond milk is 30 cals per cup)
Splash of sugar free coffee syrup (Jordan’s skinny syrup - vanilla cupcake flavor is perfect for this recipe)
Now it’s time to crack that whip :)
Add hot water, instant coffee, and preferred sweetener to a short cup and use a handheld drink whisk mixer. Mix until well whipped, frothy, and light in color.
In a glass, add ice cubes, coffee syrup, and milk. Spoon the whipped coffee on top.
(NOTE: It is very strong, I recommend dipping the spoon a few times to mix it up a little. Not too much though, you still want that whipped frothy coffee on top.)
Last, I like to add additional toppings like a dessert Flavor God topper (gingerbread cookie is what I use), cinnamon, or whip cream, etc. Get creative!
OH, I also tried using unsweetened chocolate almond milk, mocha coffee syrup (Jordan’s brand), and the Flavor God chocolate donut topper. OH. MY. IT. IS. A whole new level!
P.S. If you enjoy this recipe let me know in the comments!
Using a handheld drink whisk is way faster than hand whisking, I would highly suggest investing in one of these. Mine is from Amazon
